Moreover, according to Network ansav, this blog is designed to respond “within one minute of a threat being seen.” Oftentimes, it takes the security industry several hours to release a new signature.

“2010 saw another huge increase in the number of malicious viruses spreading via email,” states Network Box in a press release submitted to EH Publishing. “The sheer volume of malware … means the process of protecting against an emerging threat using traditional technology can take several hours”

The ansav anti-virus engine aims to reduce this time, according to the company, by producing its own signatures along with releasing millions of antivirus signatures from the top antivirus software manufacturers. “Response times during testing were less than 30 seconds for a signature to deal with a single new suspicious sample,” the company reports.
